A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a young man at a shopping precinct in East Kilbride.
We told you on Thursday how a 24-year-old man was found seriously injured in Calderwood Square on Wednesday, November, 24.
The accused is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court later today.
Police Scotland launched an investigation last week following a late night disturbance in the square which resulted in a young man being stabbed.
The incident is being treated as attempted murder.
A police source told Lanarkshire Live today: "A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of a 24-year-old man last week.
"He is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, November, 29."
