Man charged with attempted murder after Blackley stabbing

A man has been charged after a dad was stabbed in front of his toddler in Blackley.

Liam Burke , 29, of Broadway, New Moston, has been charged with attempted murder.

He has been remanded to appear at Manchester Crown Court, Crown Square on Friday June 7th.

The charge relates to an incident on Southdown Crescent shortly after 11.40am on Sunday 5 May 2019 in which a 31-year-old man was stabbed.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The victim was stabbed as he was loading his child into his car on Southdown Crescent.
