Man charged with arson in Redcliffe

A man has appeared at Bristol Magistrates Court today (July 11) charged with arson.

The police have charged the 32-year-old male on suspicion of arson at an address in Redcliffe.

Carl Day, of Spencer House, Mede Close, has been charged by police on one count of causing arson with the intent to endanger life.

Police say that an accelerant was used at a property in Spencer House which involved accelerant being poured through the letter box so that it could set alight to the house and cause damage to the door.

Two other people have also been arrested in connection to the same incident.

A 45-year-old man has been released on conditional bail and a 39-year-old woman has been released under investigation.
