Man charged over WA double homicide

A 47-year-old man has been charged with murdering an elderly couple at a house in southwest WA. (AAP)

A man has been charged with murdering an elderly couple at a house about 200 kilometres south of Perth.

The 47-year-old man was charged with two counts of murder following an incident in Berkshire St at Capel on Friday morning.

Police were called to the home were they found the bodies of a 74-year-old woman and 75-year-old man.

The charged man was also found at the property with injuries and taken to Bunbury Hospital for treatment.

He was due to appear via video link from Bunbury to Perth Magistrates Court on Sunday.
