A man in his 30s has been charged in connection with the discovery of a suspected cannabis growhouse in Co Mayo on Thursday.
He was arrested yesterday following a search operation which resulted in the seizure of cannabis plants valued at €265,000 at a house in Attymass, Ballina, Co Mayo.
The man will appear before a special sitting of Castlebar District Court at 10am on Friday, May 29.
Gardai searched eight properties in the Ballina area in an operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs yesterday.
Two people were arrested as cannabis, cocaine, steroids and ammunition were found during raids carried out between 9am and 4pm.
A total of €330,000 worth of drugs were seized by officers during the raids.
