Man charged over murder of Bradley Welsh and knife attack on dad and son in £1.7m Edinburgh home

A man has been charged in connection with the murder of Trainspotting 2 star Bradley Welsh and an alleged attack on a father and son in an Edinburgh home.

Bradley Welsh, 48, was shot outside his home in Edinburgh ’s Chester Street on April 17.

The Hibs fan's partner and daughter were just yards away inside their home at the time.

A 28-year-old man will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 14th May.

He is also charged with the attempted murder of a father and son inside a property in Pitcairn Grove on Wednesday 13th March.

David McMillan, 48, was allegedly attacked with a blade while his 22-year-old son, also David, was slashed in the hand.

A car, which was seen in the city’s Greenbank area, was later set ablaze in nearby Oxgangs.

Police Scotland thanked members of the public for their assistance in both the investigations.
