A man has been charged with murder following the death of an 80-year-old man in the country town of Castlemaine, north of Melbourne.
The body of the man was found at his Wimble St address at about 10.45am on Monday morning.
A 53-year-old man, also from Castlemaine, was on Monday night charged with one count of murder.
The two men are believed to have known each other.
The 53-year-old man was remanded to appear in Bendigo Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
