Man charged over Brisbane woman's death

A man has been charged with manslaughter over the death of a woman in Brisbane's northern suburbs. (AAP)

A man has been charged with manslaughter following the death of a Brisbane woman whose relatives found her collapsed in a northern suburbs home on the weekend.

Emergency services were called when the 53-year-old woman was discovered at Taigum, about 16km north of Brisbane's CBD, on Saturday afternoon.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said on Thursday a 22-year-old Taigum man had been charged with one count of manslaughter.

He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday.
