A 41-year-old man has been charged over the alleged abduction of a young girl at a Tasmanian campground in the state's north-west on Sunday.
He appeared in the Burnie Magistrate's Court on Tuesday morning charged with abducting a young person and assault.
He was remanded in custody to reappear tomorrow.
Police have also put out a call for any dashcam footage of a white Mazda single cab ute with Queensland registration 317XNR taken from 4:30pm onwards on Sunday.
They have thanked the public for their help.
