
A man has been charged in relation to an alleged break-in at an Elermore Vale unit which occurred while the residents were inside sleeping.
The 38-year-old man was charged with multiple offences on Thursday after the alleged break-in at 4.30am on November 10.
Police made the arrest with the assistance of the dog unit after they claim the man committed an alleged trespassing offence at Hamilton just before 12pm Thursday.
He was charged with enter enclosed lands, aggravated break and enter, enter building commit indictable offence, possession of a prohibited drug, carry house breaking implements and custody of a knife.
The man was refused bail to appear at Newcastle Local Court on Friday.
