Neighbours heard screams at house where 19yo's body found

Police have cordoned off the area around the house on Aldgate Street.

A man has been charged with the murder of a 19-year-old woman in Mandurah, south of Perth.

WA Police say they were called to a residence in Aldgate Street, about 70 kilometres south of Perth, at 4:00pm yesterday.

They found the body of a young woman at the property.

Junior Fayiah Carlos, 26, who was known to the woman, was arrested at the scene.

He appeared in the Perth Magistrate's Court this morning charged with her murder.

Neighbours have told the ABC a young man and woman had lived at the property for about 2 years.

The resident, who asked not to be identified, said they heard screaming at the house the night before last.

The ABC has also been told there were previous incidents of apparent domestic violence at the property.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
