Man charged in relation to killing of Isaac Horgan at Markevicz House apartment

A man has been charged in relation to the death of Isaac Horgan at a Dublin city centre apartment on Monday morning, while a woman has been released without charge.

The man will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning at 10:30am.

Gardai were last night quizzing the two people in connection with the killing of Mr Horgan who was knifed to death in a botched robbery.

Mr Horgan bled to death at his ground-floor flat in the Markievicz House complex close to Trinity College Dublin on Monday morning.

A Garda statement this morning read: "The man in his 40s arrested in relation to the death of a male at a property in Markievicz House on Monday 29th March has been charged. He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning, Wednesday 31st March 2021 at 10:30am.

"The female in her 30s arrested has been released without charge. A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions."
