Man charged in relation to death of Conor O'Brien in Enfield, Meath

A man is set to appear in court in connection to the murder of Conor O'Brien in Co Meath.

The 19-year-old was blasted once in the chest on Thursday and his body was discovered outside his home in Enfield the following morning.

A man, in his 50s, was arrested on Tuesday evening and has been charged in relation to the shooting.

He will appear before Carlow District Court today at 12 pm.

Originally from Gorey in Wexford, Mr O’Brien had lived in Enfield for a number of months. He was due to start a 12-month blacksmith course next week in Limerick.

The probe has seen a senior investigating officer appointed and an incident room has been established at Trim Garda Station assisted by the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
