Man charged in connection with tragic death of Scot Mark Deavin

A man has been charged in connection with the death of Glenrothes man Mark Deavin.

The 45-year-old is due to appear before Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday July 26.

A full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal, Police Scotland confirmed.

Mark, 41, was found injured on Boblingen Way in Glenrothes on Saturday July 17 and was later pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement, his family said: "We are completely devastated by his death. He was a much loved brother and uncle and will be sorely missed by all."

The investigation into the death is currently ongoing and anyone with information into the death should contact police on 101, quoting reference number 0413 of 17 July. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
