A man will appear in court today charged with the death of Emma Faulds
A 39-year-old man is expected to arrive in the dock at Ayr Sheriff Court this afternoon.
He will appear in private n front of a sheriff.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police can confirm that a a 39 year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of Emma Faulds (39), who was last seen in the Monkton area around 9.10 pm on Sunday 28
The man is due to appear in Ayr Sheriff Court on Friday 10 May 2019. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
Police began their investigations after 39-year-old car worker Emma, of Kilmarnock, was reported missing.
She was last seen in the Monkton area.
Officers are still searching for her.
