A man has been charged in connection with the alleged shooting death of Glasgow man John McGregor.
The dad-of-five died following an inciden t in Westray Street in the Milton area of the city on the evening of Thursday, August 26.
Locals performed CPR and paramedics also worked on the 44-year-old before he was rushed to hospital.
He was found in a critical condition and passed away the following Saturday night.
Cops have now confirmed they have arrested and charged a 59-year-old man in connection with John's deathg.
He is due to appear in court tomorrow.
In a statement issued tonight, police have appealed for anyone with any further information on the incident to come forward.
It read: "Police Scotland can confirm that a 59-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of John McGregor.
"Around 7.55pm on Thursday, 26 August, 2021, police received a report of a man being found seriously injured on Westray Street, Glasgow.
"Emergency services attended and a 44-year-old man was taken to hospital where he died two days later.
"The 59-year-old man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, 16 September, 2021. A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
"Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3276 of Thursday, 26 August, 2021 or submit information directly to the Major Incident Teams via the Major Incident Public Portal (MIPP)."
