A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a robbery in Ayrshire.
Police were called to the scene of a shop on Main Street in Prestwick following reports of the incident around 4.10pm on February 25.
A 57-year-old man has been arrested and charged and is due to appear before Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday.
In a statement Police Scotland thanks witnesses for their help.
They said: “A 57-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a robbery in Prestwick.
“Officers were called around 4.10pm on Thursday, 25 February, to a report of a robbery at a shop in Main Street, Prestwick.
“The man is due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court on Monday 1 March, 20121. Members of the public are thanked for their assistance in this inquiry.”
