Man charged in connection with head-on crash that killed Dublin dad of three near Clondalkin

A man has been charged in connection with a head-on collision that claimed the life of a dad-of-three last month.

The victim, 45-year-old Anatolie Butucel, was killed in a two-car collision on the N7 at Kingswood in the early hours of September 21.

Gardai confirmed earlier today that a man in his 20s had been arrested in relation to the incident.

They said: "Gardaí in Clondalkin have arrested a man, aged in his late 20s, in connection with a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N7 outbound in Kingswood, Co. Dublin on 21st September 2020.

"The man is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 in Clondalkin Garda Station."

A garda spokesman confirmed the arrested man has since been charged and is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice tomorrow morning.
