Man charged in connection with assault of police officers in Kelvingrove Park

A 43-year-old man has been arrested following an incident at Kelvingrove Park this afternoon.

Police attended the scene following reports that a man had threatened a member of the public within the park.

Police have since confirmed that the man has been arrested and charged with assaulting police officers and resisting arrest.

They have also confirmed that no officers were injured in the incident.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Inspector Paul Daley, of Glasgow's Partick Police Station, said: "A 43-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with assaulting police officers and resisting arrest following a report that man threatened a member of the public at Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow around 12.15pm on Friday, 2 April, 2020.

"No officers were injured and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal".
