Man charged in connection with alleged stabbing in Kirkcaldy street

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged stabbing in Kirkcaldy.

Emergency services raced to the scene in Dunearn Drive at around 2.55pm on Thursday after a 40-year-old man was found injured.

He was taken to the Victoria Hospital for treatment but his condition is currently unknown.

The man is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Friday (Daily Record)

Police confirmed a man was arrested a short time later and has now been charged in connection to the incident.

The 36-year-old is set to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court today.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2:55 pm on Thursday, 17 September, 2020, police received a report of a man being injured in Dunearn Drive in the Templehall area of Kirkcaldy.

“Emergency services attended and a 40-year-old man was taken to the Victoria Hospital.

“A 36-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Friday, 18 September, 2020.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
