A man has been charged in connection to a series of thefts conducted over a week across Rochdale and Bury.
Officers from GMP’s Rochdale Neighbourhood Task Force and Bury CID have been investigating a spate of thefts between January 5 to 12 at a number of business premises.
The thefts began on January 5 when a man stole car keys after entering a business premises on Eton Business Park in Bury.
Two days later, on January 7, police say a man entered a business premises in Rochdale with the intent to steal.
The same day, a man attempted to steal property from an address on Bury Old Road, and threatened the occupant with violence.
Also that day, a man stole a vehicle from a property on Oldham Road in Rochdale.
The man also stole items from another vehicle at a nearby distribution centre, with an estimated value of £750.
On January 11, a man entered two car garages and a business with the intent to steal.
Later that day, a man made off from a petrol station in Rochdale without paying for £55 worth of petrol.
The next day (January 12), a man stole a car from a car garage and business in Bury.
Following a police investigation, a man has now been arrested.
Lewis Brierley, 21, of no fixed abode, has been charged with burglary and robbery offences.
He has been remanded into custody.
Brierley is due to appear at Rochdale Magistrates Court later today (January 15).
