A man has been charged after allegedly driving at almost 150km/h with more than three times the legal blood-alcohol limit on the Central Coast.
Brisbane Water Highway Patrol were patrolling the Central Coast Highway just before midnight Friday when they saw a Kia Picanto travelling east, allegedly at high speed.
A radar check showed the vehicle was travelling at 149km/h in the 70km/h zone, police said.
The driver was stopped and subjected to a roadside breath test which police allege proved positive.
The 24-year-old man was arrested and taken to Gosford Police Station where police allege a breath analysis returned a reading of 0.164, more than three times the legal limit.
The man, from East Gosford, was charged with high-range PCA, and drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous.
He was granted conditional bail to appear in Gosford Local Court on December 22.
The man's licence was suspended and confiscated.
