A man has been arrested and charged following the alleged sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl on a Paisley street in broad daylight.
Police were called to Clarence Street at 3.30pm yesterday and a 32-year-old man has now been charged in connection with the incident.
He is due to appear in court later today, as reported by the Daily Record .
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Police can confirm that a 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged with sexual offences following an incident which took place on Clarence Street, Paisley around 3.30 pm on Wednesday 17 July 2019.
"He is due to appear in Paisley Sheriff Court on Thursday 18 July 2019.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
