Man charged following car crash in Ely that left woman seriously injured

A man has been charged in connection with an incident in Ely that left a woman seriously injured.

Officers were called to Stanway Road at around 4pm on Saturday to reports of a road traffic collision.

A 46-year-old woman and 27-year-old man were injured during the incident.

The woman continues to receive treatment at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.

Russell Anthony Flynn has been charged with two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and two counts of wounding with intent.

Flynn, 41, from Llandaff, was remanded to appear at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Monday, September 21.
