Man charged as part of investigation linked to East Belfast UVF

A 35-year-old old man has been charged today by officers investigating criminality linked to the East Belfast UVF.

He has been charged with transferring criminal property and with being concerned in the supply of Class A and Class B controlled drugs.

He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on August 13.

The investigation is part of the UK's biggest law enforcement operation against serious and organised criminality, led by the National Crime Agency.
