A 32-year-old man has been charged after a bus driver was assaulted on Battersea Bridge.
Officers were called just after midnight on Monday following reports of the incident.
A 64-year-old TfL bus driver was given emergency first aid before being taken to hospital by London’s air ambulance.
He remains in a critical condition, the Metropolitan Police said.
Gary Jones, 32, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He has since been charged.
He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday morning and was remanded in custody ahead of a plea hearing at Kingston Crown Court on Monday, 15 June.
