Man charged after woman, two children dead killed in Brampton, Ont., crash

BRAMPTON, Ont. — Police say a 45-year-old man is facing charges in connection with a collision west of Toronto that claimed the lives of one woman and two children last month.

Peel regional police say the crash between an SUV and sports car happened on Aug. 4 in Brampton, Ont., at about 9 p.m.

Police say a 47-year-old woman from Vaughan, Ont., was pronounced dead at the scene.

They say a 12-year-old girl and a seven-year-old boy — also from Vaughan — were rushed to hospital where they were also pronounced dead.

Police did not say what the relationship was between the three deceased victims.

They say three other people were sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the driver of the sports car, a 45-year-old man from Caledon, Ont., faces charges including three counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.

He is scheduled to appear in a Brampton court on Oct. 22.
