Assault and other charges have been laid after the death of a woman in Geelong.
Police found the woman in a critical condition when they were called to a property on The Walk in Thomson about 9.30pm on Sunday following reports of an assault.
Officers performed CPR on the 39-year-old woman, but she died at the scene.
A man was arrested and later charged with assault and other offences, Victoria Police said.
It was also confirmed that the man and woman were known to each other.
