Man charged after 'stabbing' at property in Scots town

A man has been charged after a stabbing at a property in Erskine.

Police were alerted to the incident at around 5pm at the house in the North Barr area of Erskine on Saturday, April 8.

Officers discovered a 36-year-old man who had been seriously assaulted and he was rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital but his condition remains unknown at this stage.

A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged and will appear at at Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday, April 11.

A report will now be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.

“Around 5pm on Saturday, 8 April, 2023, police were called to the North Barr area of Erskine, following a report of a serious assault.

"A 36-year-old man was taken to Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

"A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 11 April 2023.

"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
