A man has been arrested after a cyclist was left seriously injured in a road crash.
The incident occurred on Spittal Terrace, near to Hamilton Road, Blantyre on April 24.
Cyclist Mark Richards was rushed to hospital after suffering serious injuries in the collision.
The 50-year-old now needs to wear a back brace, which he is expected to be in for at least three months.
He was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow following the incident.
Police have now confirmed that 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
