Man charged after police 'attacked' in Kelvingrove Park

A man has been charged after police officers were allegedly assaulted in a Glasgow park.

Officers were called to an incident in Kelvingrove Park at around 12.15pm today following reports that a member of the public had been threatened.

Four police vans and several police cars were at the scene at lunchtime.

A 43-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

Inspector Paul Daley, of Partick Police Station, said: "No officers were injured and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
