
A man has been charged after police allegedly found drugs and guns at a home west of Newcastle.
Investigators from Strike Force Raptor North executed a search warrant at a property on Nelson Street, Barnsley, about 10am on Thursday.

Officers allegedly located multiple firearms including two shortened shotguns, a shortened rifle and a semi-automatic pistol as well as ammunition.
An amount of methylamphetamine was also seized.
A 34-year-old man was arrested and taken to Toronto Police Station where he was charged with three counts of possession of shortened firearms, possess 9mm semi-automatic pistol and supply prohibited drug.
Investigations into this matter are ongoing.
