Man charged after gardai seize €269,000 of drugs and €16,400 cash in north Dublin

A man has been charged after Gardai seized a massive haul of crack cocaine and pills in north Dublin.

The accused, aged in his late 30s, was arrested following a search of a house in Santry Cross, Ballymun on Friday.

Around €255,000 worth of Diazepam tablets and €14,000 worth of crack cocaine were found by the officers.

They also seized €16,400 in cash, three mobile phones and drug making equipment.

A Garda spokesperson said: "The male arrested in relation to the seizure of €269,000 of drugs and €16,400 cash in the Santry Cross area of Ballymun, Dublin 11 on Friday has been charged.

"He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice on Monday November 2."
