A man has faced court charged with the murder of a 24-year-old near a popular Victorian beach.
Duldong Deng, 23, was charged on Friday with the murder of the Brunswick East man who was stabbed near St Kilda beach on October 27.
The victim had been involved in a fight with another man outside the Life Saving Club before he was allegedly stabbed by Deng.
He collapsed and was rushed to hospital but died the following morning after his family withdrew life support.
Deng faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday afternoon.
He made no application for bail.
His case will return to court on March 3 next year.
