Man charged after disturbance in Edinburgh flat sparks mass police presence

A man has been charged after a disturbance broke out at an Edinburgh flat.

Police swarmed the scene yesterday at around 3.15pm after reports of 'concern for a person'.

Now a 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

He is is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.

It comes after mercy crews were spotted at the property on Morrison Street after the alarm was raised.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to a report of a disturbance at a property on Morrison Street, Edinburgh, around 3.15pm on Monday, 29 March.

"A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident, and is expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.

"The incident was contained and there was no threat to the wider public."
