Man charged after 'attempted murder' gun shot attack in Renfrew

A man has been charged following an alleged 'targeted attack' in which a firearm was discharged in Renfrew .

A 33-year-old man is due to appear in court over the 'attempted murder' in Cardon Square on Thursday, June 27.

Police say a bullet from the gun hit a flat window during the incident.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "A 33 year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder and is due before Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday 1 July 2019.

"A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
