A 45-year-old man has been arrested and charged after allegedly defecating in a communal garden in front of a five-year-old girl.
On the morning of Sunday, May 17, police received reports that a man had approached the child and spoke to her before defecating in front of her.
The alleged incident happened within communal gardens in the University Road and College Bounds area of Aberdeen, close to the Butchart Centre.
Police have thanked members of the public for their help with inquiries after a hunt was launched for the suspect.
Detective Sergeant Lesley Clark said: "There has been a significant public response to this incident and I would like to thank everybody who assisted with our inquiries."
A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal and the man is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court at a later date.
