Man causes uproar after becoming angry when refused 'deserved' seat on plane

A man has caused an uproar after admitting he was angry at being refused the seat he wanted on a plane - simply because he felt like he 'deserved' it.

The man was left with "a seat he didn't want" due to a mix-up with bookings. Taking to Reddit the man said when he tried to get someone to move he was left hanging, with people just giving him "seriously angry looks", reports the Mirror.

The unnamed man wrote: "I'm on a plane but I wanted a window seat and so I asked the person who had the window seat, whether I could have it.

"He wouldn't allow it and I couldn't believe it, I tried paying for a window seat but something went wrong, and I had a seat which I didn't want.

"It was the companies' fault for messing up the seating situation, and so I thought I deserve a window seat. I complained and the guy sitting next to the window wouldn't budge, and I know other people in the aeroplane were giving me serious angry looks but I didn't give a s***.

"I started complaining to the plane stewards and stewardesses, and they were just telling me to sit down at my seat. I kept complaining about how it was the company's fault for messing up the seating system, as I booked a window seat.

"They didn't give a s*** and I kept demanding that they give me the window seat of my choice and I can tell everyone on the aeroplane were preferring a baby crying compared to a grown man complaining."

The man doubled down and insisted he wanted a window seat as they are the "best seats", explaining the only downside to them was when you need to use the toilet and disturb the whole row.

But the man next to him wouldn't budge - so the seething passenger thought the best thing to do was to keep asking until the bloke became "angry".

He continued: "I kept asking the guy whether he could just swap seats with me and he kept saying no, and so I kept asking. At one point he became angry and I just started smiling. Then I kept on asking whether he could just swap seats with me consistently, and I knew I was getting to him.

Plane seat rows are not uncommon, as one person shared they refused to swap seats on the plane so a mum and toddler could sit next to each other.

They claimed they felt it was an "inferior" trade, so they denied the request and remained sat beside the toddler claiming it was not their problem.

And another person even refused to move to let an elderly couple sit together on a plane.
