A 60-year-old man who admitted causing death by careless driving awaits sentence.

The collision happened on the northbound side of the motorway, just past the Metrobus slip road near Stoke Park Estate, between junctions 2 for Eastville and Junction 1 for Hambrook.

The M32 was closed in both directions for a number of hours while police investigated the scene.

Judge William Hart bailed Fearnley, pending a probation report, for sentence on September 21.

The judge disqualified him from driving and told him: "All sentencing options are open."

Fearnley declined to comment as he left Bristol Crown Court.
