Man caught stealing from elderly patients in hospital rooms whilst they were asleep

  • A 62-year-old suspected thief has been arrested in Spain for targeting elderly patients at Torrevieja hospital in Alicante.
  • The man allegedly stole electronic devices and medical supplies from patients while they were sleeping or undergoing medical tests.
  • CCTV footage showed the suspect, partially concealing his identity with a baseball cap, entering wards and rooms on three separate occasions.
  • He was observed leaving rooms with stolen items, primarily electronic devices, hidden under his jacket.
  • The suspect was apprehended mid-theft after hospital security used camera footage to identify and arrest him.
