Dramatic footage shows brave rescuers carrying an injured climber to safety after he was injured on snow -covered side of a Scottish mountain.
The man suffered a leg injury in an avalanche in the Cairngorms today.
Footage taken by Cairngorms Mountain Rescue Team shows around 10 members wrapped in yellow jackets hauling a figure on a stretcher.
The video shows the fearsome conditions on the mountainside, where deep snow and strong wind impedes the rescuers' progress.
The man, who was able to drag himself towards the rescuers before they provided him with treatment, was taken to a nearby ski area.

There have been three avalanches in the Cairngorms in the last 48 hours, according to the Scottish Avalanche Information Service.
Further avalanches in the area are considered likely.
"CMRT call out for a male with a lower leg injury sustained during an avalanche," the rescue team tweeted.
"The climbers were able to self rescue down to the coire floor, they were met by the team and stretchered back to the ski area.
"Multiple reports of avalanches in Coire an t-Sneachda this afternoon."
The Cairngorms are one of the few parts of the UK to regularly receive significant snowfall.

Since Monday 29 and today, 28cm has fallen, with fresh snow on the mountain sitting at 17cm deep.
The mercury is predicted to dip as low as -8C today, making for treacherous conditions for hikers.
