Man carjacked by masked person in Gold Coast

A 40-year-old man was carjacked Monday in Gold Coast on the Near North Side.

About 2:40 p.m. he was near the intersection of East Oak and North Rush Streets, when he was approached my a masked male who flashed a gun and demanded his 2019 Jeep Trailhawk before fleeing in the SUV, Chicago police said.

No one was injured and no one is currently in custody, police said.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
