A man has been brutally trolled by foodies online after he shared a snap of his breakfast eggs, with some saying it looks like "they were scrambled, chewed up and then spat back out."
The social media user, known as Simon M, shared a picture of the dish to the Rate My Plate group on Facebook, and users didn't hold back.
Rate my Plate is a community where people upload pictures of their weirdest and most wonderful dishes to be judged by fellow foodies, but the latest creation to be mocked was Simon's, reports Daily Star.
On a plate were two slices of 'toast' covered by a generous serving of his scrambled egg, which he simply captioned: "Scrambled Eggs on Toast by Simon M."
Replying to his post, one person said: "My dog brought up something similar looking to this earlier today....."
Another brutally said: "Not a plate. Not toast. Either whisk your eggs or don’t bother. Buy a new pepper grinder. Use lockdown wisely - correct the little mistakes which make you look a fool."
While a third said: "These eggs look like they were scrambled, chewed up and then spat back on top of two hash browns" and a fourth added: "Looks like you have thrown up on a toddler's shoes mate."
But another user couldn't help but point out the staggering resemblance the 'toast' had with hash browns, as she wrote: "Your toast looks like hash browns so if you can't distinguish between those two you need to stay out of the kitchen."
Despite all the negative feedback, Simon seemed to have a couple of fans, as one social media user told him his scrambled eggs on toast was "absolute perfection".
Another said: "Scrambled eggs just how I like ‘em!! And hash browns instead of toast? Good move!! 10/10."
And a third commented: "Looks beautiful. Free-range eggs. Sloppy as I love it with pepper. Winner!"
