A shocking video has emerged of a man brutally smacking a child in public, before he swore at a little girl next to him.
Disturbing footage shows the man stood up while repeatedly hitting the young boy on the bottom as he's sat on a chair.
The man then sits the boy upright, before confronting the girl who is also sat on a chair next to him.
He tells her to "Sit your a** down" while pointing right in her face.
It is not known how the man knows the two children.
The video, which has been shared thousands of times on social media left parents shocked at the harshness of the punishment.
One person tweeted: "This is gross and anyone condoning it is disgusting as well. If you have to hit your kids to make them listen, you’re the problem."
Another condemned the behaviour. They tweeted: "Yes, it’s wrong. Hitting solves nothing. It makes you fear the hell out of someone. That kind of fear isn’t parenting.
"Just because your parents did this to you, doesn’t make it right. There are better ways to communicate than putting hands on someone, especially a child."
"That is far too much," another wrote. "Kids are learning and growing still. They're not full adults who understand everything. This kind of hitting is abuse."
"Wrong," another commented.
"If you have to resort to hitting a child then you’ve lost control. It’s no longer a teachable moment. I’m okay with spanking but this was VERY hard and too many times."
But disturbingly many didn't see an issue with the punishment.
One person tweeted: "Right. His job is not to be their friend. Its to prepare them for the real world so they can navigate it without his protection."
"Pain teaches you what NOT to do," another said, while the video has even caught the attention of sport stars.
Former athlete Jay Albert tweeted: "That’s what my parents did to me and I made two Olympic teams and finals."
Professional boxer Jamel Herring added: "Got my a** whooped as a kid... plus those whoopings in public not only embarrass you, it gets your act together."
The video also raised a debate whether the smacking should have happened in public.
One tweet read: "That's how I was raised, my parents, grandparents, so on, and so on. I turned out fine and respectful to everyone. BUT, a spanking that bad with hand in public? I'd never do that."
