Man brutally shuts down woman who wants someone 'six-foot and above'

A woman was left seething after she was rejected by her date for being too short for him.

In a post on Reddit, a man shared a recent text exchange with a woman he met on a dating app, whom he called it quits with after deciding there was "too much height difference" between them.

The conversation between the pair started with the man asking Monica what her favourite Lord of The Rings character was, which she ignored, and instead asked him about his height.

When he revealed that he was "6' 3" (191 cms)," she was delighted.

"That's the perfect height for a guy," she replied, according to a screenshot of what appears to be a text exchange between the pair.

"I'm 5' 1" and petite," she added.

But unfortunately, he decided that the height difference would be too much for him.

"Oops," he wrote. "That's too much height difference I guess. Don't think it would work out, sorry."

His reply clearly stunned her, as she hit back: "So you're rejecting me because of my height? The audacity."

But he calmly explained: "We all have our preferences. Even your profile bio says 6ft and above."

This only angered the woman more, and at this point, she began throwing insults at him.

"How's it different from you having a height requirement?" he replied.

"I'm a woman," she fired back. "So it's not the same."

"She couldn't handle the fact that I have a height preference just like she does," he captioned the post.

Since being posted, the screenshot has received more than 51,000 upvotes and 1,600 comments from users who were quick to share their opinion.

One person said: "As a 5'1" female I've never even bothered to ask someone's height because everything over 5'7" feels tall to me."

Another wrote: "Treat others like they treat you and they get mad."

A third commented: "If women can have a height preference so can men. It should be equal. Who even uses the excuse that they are a woman. It is the same. Treat others how you want to be treated."

Someone else put: "I'm 6' 2", but when I used Tinder, anyone with a 'height requirement' was an instant no," they wrote. "Pretty big red flag, even if I am 'tall enough.'"
