A man was brought down safely from an M62 bridge on Sunday night after an incident which closed the motorway.
The motorway was closed in both directions near Huddersfield from 7.50pm as West Yorkshire Police responded to a "concern for welfare" involving the man.
Police were able to bring him down from Scammonden Bridge and take him to a place of safety.
The incident saw traffic diverted off the M62 at junction 22 for Rishworth Moor on the eastbound side and junction 24 for Ainley top on the westbound carriageway.
Some motorists were stuck witin the closure until around 8.45pm when all lanes were reopened.

This morning West Yorkshire Police confirmed that the man was stood on Scammonden Bridge when emergency services were called to the scene.
A spokesperson said: "The man was brought down safe and well and taken to a place of safety."
It is less than a month since the last person died in a fall from Scammonden Bridge .
Jessica Duckworth, 23 was pronounced dead at the scene following a fall from the bridge at 1am on Sunday June 16.
Her father, John Robin Howarth, described the NHS worker as "a beautiful, young and vibrant woman".
