Man bragged on bus about buying the 'best drugs in Manchester' - right in front of police

A man was arrested after bragging about buying the 'best drugs in Manchester' on the bus - right in front of plain clothes police officers.

Officers from Greater Manchester Police's Transport Unit were travelling on the service as part of their daily patrols when they came across the man who they say was shouting and intimidating passengers.

He was also 'openly talking' about having bought drugs, unaware the officers could hear him.

As a result he was detained and during a search drugs were found on him and siezed.

Sharing details of the incident on their city centre Twitter page, GMP said: "Shouting, intimidating passengers & openly talking about how you have "just bought the best drugs in M'cr" whilst surrounded by plain-clothed #TransportUnit is going to end 1 way.

"Detained, drugs seized & male removed from transport."

The nature or amount of drugs found is not known with no more details yet being divulged.

However GMP added patrols by plain clothes officers from the transport unit will continue across Manchester and Trafford.
