Man booked for sister’s death

A brawl between a 28-year-old unemployed person and his elder sister resulted in the death of the latter at Balanagar on Wednesday night. 

According to police, the accused, Ramanjaneyulu, his 38-year-old sister and victim Kanakalakshmi, a mother of two, and their parents were consuming liquor at their residence at Girinagar. “Around midnight Kanakalakshmi abused their father in foul language, as a result, her brother lost his temper and kicked her in the stomach,” the investigators said. 

After 45 minutes or one hour when she fell unconscious, the family members to her to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. “She already had some health issues,” police said. 

A case under Section 304-A ( Punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against Ramanjaneyulu, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
