We've all seen romance films where people meet their perfect match in the most bizarre locations, but one man has claimed he had one such encounter in real life, after he met an "attractive guy" on a plane.
However, the man's romantic story comes with a catch, as he's been slammed online for ditching the friend he was supposed to be on holiday with in favour of going on a date with the stranger.
The man said he and his friend were flying to California, USA, to celebrate their recent graduation, and had planned to "hang out" together on Valentine's Day because they didn't have any other plans.

But when they boarded their flight, the man found himself sitting next to a hunky stranger and the two got talking, with the bloke eventually asking him if he'd like to watch a film and stay the night with him.
The man agreed, but his friend was left fuming - and has since refused to meet up with him for the rest of their trip.
In a post on Reddit, the man said: "My friend and I decided to hang out on Valentine's Day after her boyfriend decided not to come with us on a trip. We had just arrived in California a few days ago as we had been planning this for a while (our graduation trip).
"On the plane, I sat next to this attractive guy, and we ended up talking and exchanging phone numbers. Throughout our trip in California, me and the guy started talking and I think I have feelings for him.
"Anyways, my friend and I planned to hang out on Valentine's Day to celebrate it, but the guy I met on the plane asked if I wanted to watch a movie and stay with him, I said yes and told my friend.
"She just stormed off, but me and the guy had a really good time. I do think maybe I did something wrong because she is refusing to talk to me and is just doing the trip without me."
Commenters on the post were largely on the man's friend's side, as they said he shouldn't have cancelled plans he had already made - especially when his friend was likely upset that her own boyfriend wasn't with them.
One person said: "You had plans already with her, it's kinda universally known that making plans and ditching them for someone else is a d**k move. You know better. Everyone knows better."
While another added: "Your friend was already vulnerable because of her boyfriend not being able to come. Instead of spending Valentine's Day with her friend to take her mind off of her boyfriend not being there, she spent it alone, while you spent it with a fling."
And a third posted: "It's in your first sentence. You travelled with your friend. You made plans with your friend. You ditched your friend for someone you just met and left her alone. Definite a**hole move."
