Man bitterly disappointed by what's inside his 'lame' £1.99 Aldi sandwich

As sandwiches go, you can't go far wrong with an all-day breakfast filling.

It's got everything - sausage, egg, bacon... what's not to love?

Unfortunately, you don't always get what you were hoping for, as one dad found out after a recent trip to Aldi.

Joel Turner purchased a £1.99 triple all day breakfast sandwich pack from Aldi back in November, but was shocked to find his sarnie's 'half full'.

Posting on Aldi's official UK Facebook page, Joel shared a picture of his half-filled sandwich, writing: "Very disappointed with my sandwich from Aldi, not even half full! Very deceiving as it looks full in the packet but when you actually look inside you get this."

One Aldi shopper was not happy with the filling of his £1.99 festive sandwich (Supplied)

Aldi then responded, saying: "Hi Joel, we’re very sorry to see this. If you still have your receipt, you can return the packaging to any branch of Aldi within 60 days of purchase and we’ll be happy to provide a full refund. Thanks, Aldi UK Facebook Team."

However, speaking to the Manchester Evening News , Joel confirmed that he was unable to get a refund on what he describes as a 'pretty lame' sandwich.

He said: "[Aldi] just said to take the receipt back for a full refund. I didn’t have the receipt anymore though!!"

The M.E.N. has contacted Aldi for comment.
